WorkLIFE Wellness Tip of the Day: OLIVE OIL MUST's

Which olive oil would you choose? Fat and oils are essential to the health and function of our body, but the quality can be tricky! We'd picked NEITHER and here's why: 1) Ideally, olive is stored in a dark bottle and the oil is opaque - steer away from clear bottles and clear oils because it's sensitive to light and what pre-treated with heat 2) Always choose 'organic' whenever available 3) Always choose 'cold-pressed' which prevents additional heat exposure. Neither of these bottles had all three of our criteria. 4) Remember, olive oil doesn't have a high heat tolerance (200-250 degrees), so add it raw to whatever you cook or add it at the very end to minimize heat exposure
