Don't Forget to (Belly) Breathe!

Big, full inhalations not only energizes your body during the workday, but they act as an important pump for your internal organs. As we inhale our diaphragm drops to make space for the expansion of the lungs as they take in air. When the diaphragm drops it squeezes the internal organs below it which supports their natural rocking motion (motility) and pushes fluids through them preventing stagnation - yuck! Set a calendar/phone reminder every hour to take a break for some deep breaths through the nose and belly.
