There's a lot of 'all or nothing' when it comes to New Year's Resolutions which contribute to our low margin of success. When choosing a resolution be sure to define and identify the two polar extremes...too little and too much. This can help you recognize when you are out of your lane. Too much of anything can slam you up against a rock wall preventing progress and too little leads you across the double line into danger. There's an optimal place in between which leads you safely and efficiently to your resolution destination and it's not all or nothing. Take for example exercise, define and identify when you get too much exercise (burnt out, aches & pains, feels less enjoyable) and too little exercise (sedentary, unmotivated, low body image, blah). Now set your resolution so it would take you down the green line and keep you in your lane for 2015!
