2015 Goal Setting with Infinity Wellness' Lance Breger
January 6, 2015
Have you set your 2015 goals yet? One common error in goal setting is to only set an outcome goal and not map out the process goals. Think of the outcome goal as the summit of the mountain or the destination where/when the goal is achieved. The process goals are the specific, measurable steps or directions that get you to the destination. Can you see how if you don't set the course you'll never get to the top of the mountain?!
Let's take for example weight loss as it is a common goal around this time of year. The error is only setting the outcome goal of losing 20 pounds, but not mapping out the process goals or steps to get you there. Some process goals would be 1) Eat breakfast 5 days a week 2) Drink 1/2 my body weight in ounces of H2O 3) Get to sleep by 10 pm on weeknights 4) Walk a mile at lunch with a co-worker 5) Lose 2-4 pounds per month
